Chat GPT became the first company to gain over 100 Million users in just a span of 2 months. Open AI, the parent company launched its sensational chat bot in November of 2022 and it became the most trending internet service throughout the globe.
Microsoft recently invested $10 Billion in Open AI to extend their partnership and after the previous funding round, Open AI was valued at $29 Billion. Microsoft is supposed to get a 75% profit cut on the total profit the company makes until they recover their $10 Billion investment and after the initial recovery of the $10 Billion investment, Microsoft would assume a 49% stake in company, win-win situation for Microsoft?
The company announced that it will be using the powerful AI tool to enhance its web search and would integrate the powerful AI tool to its searches to help them gain market share in an area that is completely dominated by Google, with Chrome.
The tech industry is a ruthless one, the competition firms face is mind blowing, in response to the world famous Chat GPT, Google announced their AI tool known as “Bard”
Bard is powered by the company’s vast language model LaMDA, i.e Language Model for Dialogue Applications. The beta version will be released to “trusted testers” first before the company will release it to the public in a few weeks, said CEO, Sundar Pichai in a blog post. “Soon, you’ll see AI-powered features in Search that distill complex information and multiple perspectives into easy-to-digest formats, so you can quickly understand the big picture and learn more from the web: whether that’s seeking out additional perspectives, like blogs from people who play both piano and guitar, or going deeper on a related topic, like steps to get started as a beginner,” wrote CEO Sundar Pichai.
Microsoft and Google have ramped up the AI space by announcing their own projects and how these tech giants look forward to integrate this technologies to enhance their services and their profits as well. Apple and Meta are the ones that haven’t made any major announcement, yet.
